Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef Use lean ground beef to keep it from being too greasy.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Extra ketchup is also used for topping.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix well until everything is blended.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  • Spread extra ketchup on top for added flavor.

Baking

  • Bake for about 1 hour or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve your meatloaf with mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, or a simple salad. Consider adding diced bell peppers or carrots for more flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
