Ingredients
  

Meatloaf Mixture

  • 2 pounds ground beef Lean ground beef is recommended for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup bread crumbs Helps absorb moisture and provides structure.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grated onion Chop finely for better texture.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Glaze

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, whole milk, eggs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and grated onion. Stir well.
  • Slowly add the bread crumbs to the mixture, ensuring it absorbs moisture.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a loaf.

Glazing and Baking

  • In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard for the glaze.
  • Spread the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Serving

  • Once done, let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, or a side salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Slices can be frozen for longer storage.
