Ingredients
  

Meat Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup ketchup For glaze
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 whole onion, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, ketchup, minced garlic, chopped onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like parsley or thyme. Optionally, mix a bit of brown sugar into the ketchup for a sweeter glaze. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze slices wrapped tightly for up to 3 months.
