Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ketchup for topping

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  • Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf for extra flavor.

Cooking

  • Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Use a mix of ground beef and pork for added flavor. Do not overmix the ingredients, as this can make the meatloaf tough. For extra seasoning, add herbs like parsley or thyme. If the mixture seems too wet, add a bit more breadcrumbs. Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap or in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator or up to 3 months in the freezer.
