Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or Sirloin Tips)
  • 12 oz Pasta (Penne, Fusilli, or Bowtie)
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 5 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Beef Broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional) Adjust based on spice preference
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped For garnish
  • Salt and Black Pepper, to taste

Instructions

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking Beef

  • While the pasta cooks, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through. Drain excess grease and remove beef from the pan; set aside.

Making Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and the butter begins to turn slightly golden.
  • Whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir in the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Reduce heat to low. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add the cooked beef and pasta back into the skillet.
  • Toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure to cook the pasta al dente for the best texture. Don't rush the cooking of the garlic; perfectly cooked garlic adds great flavor without being bitter. Feel free to add more vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition and color. If you have leftovers, let the pasta cool down before storing it in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
