Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, 1 cup of ketchup, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and parsley until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.

Glazing

  • In a small bowl, mix the glaze ingredients: 1/2 cup of ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
  • Spread this mixture over the top of the meatloaf.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm, sliced into thick pieces. Pairs well with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Drizzle extra ketchup or gravy on top. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to prevent density, and let it rest before slicing for juiciness. You can customize with different ingredients such as bell peppers or grated cheese.
