Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup onion, chopped
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Topping

  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup ketchup

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, 1/4 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.
  • Put the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup of ketchup. Spread this mix on top of the meatloaf.

Baking

  • Bake for 60 minutes or until the meatloaf is fully cooked.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables. Leftovers can be used in sandwiches. For a BBQ version, use BBQ sauce instead of ketchup and add chopped bell peppers. Adding shredded cheese will give it a cheesy flavor.
