Ingredients
  

For the Cake

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Any brand of chocolate cake mix.
  • 3 eggs Large eggs are recommended.
  • 1 cup water Room temperature water works best.
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil Can substitute with canola oil if preferred.

For the Topping

  • 1 cup chopped pecans Toast for added flavor if desired.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade caramel sauce can be used.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Beat until smooth.
  • Stir in the chopped pecans.

Assembly

  • Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan.
  • Drizzle half of the caramel sauce and half of the chocolate chips on top.
  • Pour the remaining cake batter over the caramel and chocolate layers.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Finishing Touch

  • Once the cake is cool, drizzle the remaining caramel sauce and chocolate chips on top before serving.

Notes

This cake can be served warm or at room temperature. Adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top enhances the experience.
