Ingredients
  

Apple Filling

  • 3 medium medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for cooking apples
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Dough

  • 1 package refrigerated pie dough can use frozen pie dough if thawed

Topping

  • to taste Caramel sauce for drizzling

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are tender.
  • Roll out the pie dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles.
  • Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle, fold the dough over and seal the edges.
  • Place the bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

Notes
