  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 200 g feta cheese, crumbled Can substitute with goat cheese for a different flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can skip, but helps in coating the chicken.
  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce Adjust according to desired heat level.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste Taste the sauce before adding salt due to feta's saltiness.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Used just before serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the hot honey mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the chicken breasts.

Baking

  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Cool the chicken to room temperature before storing it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For reheating, use the oven at 325°F (160°C) for best results.
