Ingredients
  

For the Cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest Adds aroma and flavor.

For the Topping

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 cups orange sherbet Can substitute with lime or raspberry for variation.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, orange juice, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla yogurt and orange zest until well combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely.

Topping

  • Spread whipped cream over the top of the cooled cake.
  • Scoop orange sherbet on top of the whipped cream.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For the best presentation, serve chilled and consider adding extra whipped cream or a sprinkle of orange zest on top. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze slices for later enjoyment.
