Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs

For the Marinade

  • 2.5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt or salt to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well blended.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss until well coated.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned chicken thighs on the prepared sheet pan, smooth side up.
  • Bake uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes, flipping the chicken at least once for even cooking.
  • Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the sheet pan. Marinating the chicken for a few hours can enhance flavor balance. Adjust spices to your taste; cayenne pepper can add heat.
