Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup German chocolate, melted Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Whip until stiff peaks form.

Toppings

  • 1 cup coconut flakes Optional: Toast for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Optional: Toast for added flavor.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  • In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Add the melted German chocolate and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.

Assembly

  • Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the coconut flakes and chopped pecans on top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Serving

  • Serve chilled, sliced into pieces. Enjoy on its own or with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, or fresh fruit.

Notes

Cover leftovers with plastic wrap or a lid and store them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can freeze it for up to 3 months; just thaw it in the refrigerator before serving. Tips: Use a warm knife to slice and wipe it clean between cuts.
