Preparation

  • Start by toasting the slices of crusty bread until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken breast, chopped romaine lettuce, and Caesar dressing. Toss until well coated.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Layer the chicken and lettuce mixture between the toasted slices of bread.
  • Optionally, add shavings of Parmesan cheese on top before closing the sandwich.
  • Cut in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For a creamier take, mix a little soft cheese with the dressing. Toast the bread well to ensure it stays crisp. Use chilled lettuce and warm or room-temperature chicken when assembling. Sliced tomato or bacon can be added for extra flavor.
