Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts Ensure they are fresh and of good quality.
  • 4 cloves garlic Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can be substituted with tamari or coconut aminos.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust amount based on desired sweetness.

Instructions

Cooking

  • Start by searing the chicken breasts in a skillet over medium heat. Cook them for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Combine the soy sauce and honey into the skillet with the garlic. Stir well to make the honey garlic sauce.
  • Return the chicken to the pan, coating it well with the sauce. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the chicken is fully cooked through.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice, vegetables, or a fresh salad. Garnish with sliced green onions or sesame seeds for an extra touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
