Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

Ingredients
  

For the cookie base

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted make sure it's melted but not too hot
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add in eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • Pour the cookie batter into the prepared pie dish and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
