Ingredients
  

Cookie Base

  • 1 cup butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature for better creaming with sugars.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blend.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Flavoring

  • 1 cup cotton candy, broken into pieces Use different flavors of cotton candy for variations.
  • as needed Sprinkles (optional) Can use different types of sprinkles for decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the cotton candy.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
  • If desired, sprinkle with additional sprinkles on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To keep your Cotton Candy Cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze the cookies using parchment paper between layers.
