  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced Can use other fruits if desired

  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture on 4 slices of bread. Top with sliced strawberries, then place the remaining slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.

Cooking

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
  • Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
  • Cook the sandwiches in the skillet until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Serving

  • Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup on top. Optionally, add more fresh strawberries or a dusting of powdered sugar.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before serving. For a variation, consider adding chocolate chips inside the sandwich with the strawberries for a sweeter twist.
