Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cheesecake Layer

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened 8 ounces
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon coffee or espresso powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for cheesecake

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in sugar.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in cocoa powder, flour, and vanilla until just combined.
  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Cheesecake Layer

  • In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, sour cream, coffee powder, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread the cheesecake mixture over the layer of brownie batter in the pan.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top of the cheesecake layer and gently swirl with a knife.

Baking

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  • Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature, and consider adding powdered sugar, whipped cream, or ice cream for garnish. For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature and handle the brownie batter gently for a fudgy texture.
