Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries Hulled and sliced

Ganache Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips For ganache
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat, and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the sliced strawberries gently into the batter.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let them cool completely.

Making Ganache

  • For the chocolate ganache, heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until just boiling, then pour it over the chocolate chips.
  • Let it sit for a minute and then stir until smooth.

Finishing

  • Once the brownies are cool, pour the ganache over the top, spreading it evenly.
  • Let the ganache set before slicing into squares.

Notes

Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled. Consider adding whipped cream or ice cream as a side, and garnish with fresh strawberry slices.
