  • 1 lb chicken breasts or thighs Cut into even pieces for even cooking.
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce For the sauce.
  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust for sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce Adjust for desired heat level.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
  • 2 tbsp green onions (for garnish) Chopped.
  • 2 cups rice (for serving) Cooked.

Instructions
 

Preparation and Cooking

  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, sriracha, minced garlic, and minced ginger to make the sauce.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat and add the chicken. Cook until chicken is browned and cooked through.
  • Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve the Firecracker Chicken over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Serve hot with a side of steamed broccoli or a simple salad. Offer extra sriracha for those who want more heat.
