  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with pepper jack for extra kick.
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapenos Use fresh or pickled. For more heat, add extra.
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Spread a layer of the cheese mixture on each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Roll the tortillas tightly from one end to the other.
  • Slice the rolled tortillas into pinwheels.

Serving

  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to eat.
  • They pair nicely with dipping sauces like ranch dressing or salsa for added flavor.

Storage

  • Keep any leftover pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for about 2-3 days.
  • If you want to make them ahead of time, you can prepare them and keep them wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge until you're ready to serve.

Notes

For a different flavor, try using flavored tortillas, like sun-dried tomato or spinach. You can also add other ingredients like cooked bacon or different types of cheese for variation.
