  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies (10 oz)
  • 1 can chili con carne or ground beef/sausage (15 oz or 1 lb) If using ground meat, brown in a skillet first.
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeƱos Adjust to taste for spice level.
  • 1/4 cup milk Optional for consistency.
  • to taste tortilla chips or veggies for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a crockpot, combine the shredded cheese, diced tomatoes with green chilies, cream cheese, and jalapeƱos.
  • If using ground beef or sausage, brown it in a skillet, then add it to the crockpot.
  • Stir everything together and cover.
  • Cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally until melted and smooth.
  • If the dip is too thick, add milk to reach the desired consistency.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or crockpot before serving. Experiment with different cheese types and spices for unique flavors.
