Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling

  • 1 lb pizza dough Can use store-bought pizza dough.
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes Other cheese options: cheddar or pepper jack.

Butter Mixture

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted for brushing.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Feel free to add other seasonings.

For Serving

  • 1 cup Marinara sauce for dipping Other dipping options: ranch or cheese dip.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into small squares.
  • Place a cube of mozzarella inside each square, pinch the dough closed, and shape it into a ball.
  • Arrange the balls in a football shape on a baking sheet.

Butter Mixture

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in the minced garlic, parsley, and Italian seasoning.
  • Brush the mixture over the dough balls.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

This cheesy bread is best served warm right out of the oven. Allow leftovers to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
