Dip Ingredients

  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Soften before mixing for easier blending.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use mild cheddar for a milder dip.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Can substitute with plain Greek yogurt.
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning Adjust amount for more or less spice.
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • to serve as needed Tortilla chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine refried beans, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Mix well until smooth.
  • Stir in the chopped green onions.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the dip is hot and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, or alongside cut vegetables or warm pita.

Notes

Cool the dip to room temperature and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Variations include adding cooked ground beef or chorizo, using Mexican crema, or topping with salsa.
