Ingredients
  

For the Sliders

  • 12 pieces slider buns sliced in half
  • 6 oz sliced deli meats (ham, salami, pepperoni) combine different types for flavor
  • 8 oz sliced mozzarella cheese fresh mozzarella works well
  • 1/4 cup olive oil for brushing
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning for flavor
  • 1 tsp garlic powder for seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder for seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes adjust based on spice preference
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese optional garnish
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil optional garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  • Layer the sliced deli meats over the buns.
  • Top with slices of mozzarella cheese.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
  • Brush the olive oil mixture over the cheese layer.
  • Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Optional: Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For extra crisp tops, remove the lid and broil for 1-2 minutes at the end. Cool the sliders to room temperature before storing. They can be reheated in the oven until warm.
