  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix (approx. 15.25 oz / 430 g) Can use any flavor of cake mix
  • 1 can strawberry pie filling (21 oz / ~595 g) Fresh strawberries can be used as a substitute
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz / 225 g, softened) Can substitute with mascarpone cheese or a dairy-free alternative

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish.
  • Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling.
  • Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the top of the mixture.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream enhances the flavor. Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Cool completely before covering.
