Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough Base

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure butter is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M's Can be substituted with other candies as per variation.

Assembly

  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream Feel free to use different flavors of ice cream.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup To drizzle on top before serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Stir in the flour, salt, and vanilla extract until everything is combined, then fold in the chocolate chips and M&M's.
  • Spread the cookie dough mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let it cool completely.

Assembly

  • Layer half of the baked cookie dough in a cake pan, then spread the vanilla ice cream on top.
  • Crumble the remaining cookie dough on top of the ice cream layer.
  • Freeze until solid.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top before serving.

Notes

To serve, slice into wedges and optionally add more chocolate syrup or a scoop of ice cream. Store leftovers in the freezer, covered with plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
