Cookie Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it is softened to room temperature for better blending.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can adjust based on dough consistency.
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips You can adjust the amount based on preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until it is smooth.
  • Gradually add sugar and vanilla to the cream cheese, mixing well until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture and mix until everything is combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies are best served warm or at room temperature. Drizzle with chocolate sauce or serve with ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
