Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Layer graham crackers in the bottom of a dish.
  • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crackers.
  • Add a layer of strawberries on top.
  • Add another layer of graham crackers followed by the remaining cream cheese mixture.
  • Top with whipped cream and more strawberries.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled and cut into squares. Add a dollop of whipped cream and extra strawberry slices for decoration. The dessert stays fresh for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. You can freeze it for up to a month; thaw it in the refrigerator before serving. Consider variations with other fruits like blueberries, raspberries, or peaches.
