Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken You can substitute with ground turkey or beef.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs can be used for a crunchier crust.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Can substitute with cilantro or basil.
  • 1 large egg Flax egg or extra breadcrumbs can be used for an egg-free option.
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • spray olive oil For spraying the rissoles before air frying.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, and parsley until well combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Shape the mixture into small patties about half an inch thick.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Arrange the rissoles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Serve with a dip like ketchup, mayo, or yogurt. They can also be added to salads, sandwiches, or served with rice. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C).
