  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 pieces lemons, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat with Parmesan cheese.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  • Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in lemon juice and zest; simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the baked chicken and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Lemon Chicken is best served hot. Pair it with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Drizzle extra lemon sauce over for added flavor. If you have leftovers, let cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven when ready to eat.
