Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice Use warm or reheated rice.
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces Can substitute with chicken thighs for more flavor.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey Can substitute with brown sugar or maple syrup.
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil For cooking.
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.

Cooking

  • Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.

Serving

  • Serve the sticky chicken over cooked rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra veggies, serve with steamed broccoli or a side salad. You can also add a squeeze of lime for brightness.
