Recently, Joe Gorga took a “magical” trip to Italy with his wife, Melissa Gorga. And later, Real Housewives of New Jersey husband brought a taste of Italy to his Jersey Shore vacation home. During the festive birthday party for Joe, the themed spread was filled with classic Italian snacks – and the cake was perfectly on brand. Joe Gorga’s Epic Italian Birthday Cake
For Joe’s special day, a local bakery Epic cookies and more whipped up an incredible four-tiered cake. The candy was decorated with the Italian flag, grapes, illustrations of gondoliers and a replica of the Coliseum. The cake also had a tier designed to look like a wine barrel, while another was decorated with a gold cutout of Italy.
That’s not the only treat the bakery provides. Melissa has shown off a ton of cookies on her Instagram stories — including frosted cookies, pignoli cookies, and the cookies she’s known to love. The owner of the boutique wrote in her caption: “Literally the best cookies I’ve ever had.”
Joe Gorga’s Italian spread
There was more than sweet treats for a snack. Instagram Stories from Joe’s birthday party showed a huge variety of Italian foods, including cheeses, breads, olives and more. There was a mozzarella tower Clemente Bakeryand bread letters spelling out “pizza,” “pasta,” and “ciao.”
According to an Instagram post shared by several vendors, the party also included pizza and grill trucks, a live DJ and a photo booth. Check out the birthday party below.
Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga travel to Italy
As mentioned, Melissa and Joe recently had Italian food straight from the source. In July, the couple talked about their upcoming trip on an episode of Melissa On the screen podcast. The module was recorded a few days before they arrived in Positano.
“This isn’t technically our honeymoon. It’s our time to relax,” Melissa explained. “Joe and I are going to Positano and Capri. We are very excited about it.”
Melissa also said, “Fun fact: Joe was in Italy, I was in Italy, (but) we were never in Italy together. So this is a first for us.” The trip came shortly before the parents of three celebrated their 19th anniversary on August 20.
On July 27, the Gorgas shared videos and photos from their trip to Positano, which Melissa described as “magical.” The snaps showed her posing on a terrace with hillside houses in the background, and also provided a glimpse of a delicious pasta dish at Chez Black. The couple shared amazing videos of their water trips, as well as some pictures of Le Sirenuse, the ultra-luxurious hotel they were staying at.
