We’re Chloe and Cristine Luman, the sisters (and best friends) behind Cowiron.
Our love for cooking began long before Cowiron was born — back when we were two little girls standing on milk crates in our family kitchen, watching our mom stir gravy in a well-worn cast-iron skillet and our dad return from the fields with fresh vegetables in hand.
Those were the moments that shaped us — the warmth of a bustling kitchen, the sound of laughter, the smell of bread baking, and the simple joy of gathering around the table. Food, to us, was never just food. It was connection, care, and comfort.
How Cowiron Was Born
Cowiron started as a dream to preserve that feeling of home — the kind you can taste in every bite. We wanted to create a space where traditional country cooking meets today’s simplicity. Where you don’t need fancy gadgets or a culinary degree — just a love for real, honest food made with heart.
The name “Cowiron” comes from two things we hold dear: our rural roots (“cow”) and the timeless cast-iron skillet that’s been in our family for generations (“iron”). Together, they represent who we are — strong, simple, and full of soul.
